Ambassadors can be more than mascots and more than megaphones. They can [and should] operate like informants for brands and product development teams. So, what my snowboarding lacks in acrobatic magnitude, I try to make up for in brand aptitude.
My philosophy has always been that all snowboard companies need a variety of well-connected individuals who can help perpetuate the brand while promoting the product at smaller grassroots levels, IRL.
As part of my lifers, not influencers ideology, I decided to dedicate floorspace in my Downtown Boise studio to serve as a curated showroom for some of my supporters, products I’ve helped design, or just friends’ brands that I believe in. It is not a retail space. Nothing is for sale; it’s simply ambassadorship in action.
